HELP.. 35 DOGS LIVING IN A TRUCK!!

Small Animal Rescue came to the help again on Friday. A truely sad story : a gentleman who is mentally challenged surrendered 35 dogs.

This gentleman’s history makes you stop and appreciate all that you have now in your life. Within the last year he lost both of his parents and his wife was committed to a hospital. With no more financial support, he lost his home that he was living in with his wife and dogs. Which leads us to Friday when he was found living in a truck with 35 dogs. He only had  4 kennels for the dogs. There was no food or water that we could see for the animals.

Small Animal Rescue took in 15 of the dogs. They are all Papillions except for one chihauhau mix. A companion rescue took in the remainder of the dogs.  We all spent the afternoon bathing, grooming, defleaing, treating, and vaccinating the animals.

There were two sets of mama dogs with litter of puppies ( 1 litter about 10 days old and 1 litter about 21 days old). We are looking for anyone who is willing to open up their hearts and homes to any of  these precious little ones as a foster home caregiver. All dogs will go up for adoption once they are neutered and given a clean bill of health. They just need some temporary housing in the mean time. All they require is a little food, a little water, and lots of love. What could be easier than that.  If you can help foster, please  contact us at : materialmutt@cox.net

If you are unable to foster, please consider donating to the Small Animal Rescue. We will have to cover the expense of vaccinations, neutering, feeding, and healthcare of all the rescued pups. Just click on the following link to donate: http://faithfulfriends.chipin.com/faithful-friendsf

Remember no amount is to small and everything is greatfully appreciated.

If you are unable or uncomfortable with making a monetary donation online, the rescue is also in need of supplies. Anything you can think of : dog food, bowls, blankets, kennels, toys, beds, etc. We will be happy to pick up and deliver any donations you have, just contact us via email: materialmutt@cox.net .

And if you are unable to do any of the above we always welcome prayer. Keep us and the Small Animal Rescue group covered in prayer that we never grow weary with the daunting task that we have taken on

“these trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure….” Peter 1:7
